Chubb Appoints Bill Hazelton Head of North America Industry Practices
Chubb named Bill Hazelton executive vice president, head of North America industry practices. He will lead the company’s efforts to enhance delivery of comprehensive industry-focused insurance coverages, risk engineering and claims services to customers in all market segments.
Hazelton will continue to serve in his current role as real estate & hospitality industry practice leader, which is a part of Chubb North America industry practices with life sciences, construction, private equity, energy, financial institutions, transportation, manufacturing, technology and healthcare.
Hazelton joined Chubb in 2005 and has served in several leadership capacities. Prior to his current role as real estate & hospitality industry practice leader, he was head of North America claims and he served as Chubb’s environmental, excess casualty and construction industry practice leader.
Nexus Underwriting US Announces Senior Appointment to Lead New Specialty Casualty Division
Specialty managing general agent Nexus Underwriting has appointed Christof Bentele as president of their new specialty casualty business. Bentele will be working out of the Morristown, New Jersey office.
Bentele is a global market leader and has run specialty casualty teams at Aon, JLT group and, most recently, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty where he was a director within the alternative risk business. Nexus Underwriting has its global headquarters in London.
