Everest’s Izzo Joins AXIS as Chief Commercial Officer
AXIS Capital Holdings Limited, headquartered in Pembroke, Bermuda, appointed Anthony Izzo as chief commercial officer. Izzo will report directly to Vince Tizzio, President and CEO of AXIS, and will work out of the company’s Red Bank and New York offices.
Izzo leads the company’s global commercial strategy, working closely with its underwriting and regional leadership. He joins AXIS with 35 years of industry experience, most recently serving as EVP/Group chief commercial officer at Everest, overseeing commercial strategy and driving enterprise-wide growth and client relationships. Before Everest, Izzo held senior leadership roles at Guy Carpenter, TransRe, Aon Benfield and Willis Re.
Liberty Mutual Elects Canney to Board of Directors
Jacqui Canney, chief people and AI enablement officer at ServiceNow, was elected to the Liberty Mutual Insurance board of directors. Liberty Mutual is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.
Canney has held her current role at ServiceNow since January 2025, leading the company’s global talent strategy and workforce planning initiatives. She previously served as the company’s chief people officer. Before joining ServiceNow in 2021, Canney was chief people officer at WPP and executive vice president and chief people officer at Walmart. She also spent more than two decades at Accenture, where she held senior global human resources leadership roles across digital, technology, operations, communications and M&A, among other responsibilities.
Canney brings extensive board and nonprofit leadership experience, including serving on the boards of Suffolk Construction and Project Healthy Minds.
