Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies announced the launch of a contractors general liability and inland marine solution, expanding its small commercial product suite to meet the needs of artisan contractors.
The new offering through AmGUARD Insurance Company is initially available in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania, with expansion into additional states planned later this year.
The product is designed for contractors who do not have a permanent physical location and primarily operate at third-party locations or job sites. It combines core liability protection with companion inland marine coverage to insure tools and equipment.
“By pairing general liability with companion inland marine coverage and other optional add-ons like errors & omissions and hired and non-owned auto liability, the result is a turnkey solution that simplifies the buying process for many types of contractors,” said Courtney Hill, GUARD’s chief underwriter.
GUARD’s independent agents can expect a streamlined quote-to-bind journey for this new product. GUARD is laser focused on providing easy-to-place insurance solutions for small business owners.
