Gilmore Insurance Agency Named to ACSR Honor Roll

April 16, 2003

The Combined Agents of America LLC (CAA) announced that Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT) has awarded CAA member Gilmore Insurance Agency Inc. of Lubbock, Texas, the “Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) Honor Roll Agency” distinction. This is the eleventh CAA member agency to receive the ACSR distinction.

Austin-based CAA is a closed managing general agency with 27 independent agency members.

IIAT recognizes independent insurance agencies state-wide for supporting the professional development of their service staff by participating in IIAT’s ACSR program. The selection of honor roll agencies is based on: the percentage of ACSRs in the agency; the commitment to cross-training as evidenced by the number of dual; ACSR designees (personal and commercial lines); and the use of the ACSR designation as part of the CSR’s career path.

“We are very proud of our agency for achieving this distinction. Our agency is strongly committed to the professional development of our CSRs, ensuring our customers are better served while our companies are well represented,” said Ken Gilmore, chairman and CEO for Gilmore Insurance Agency Inc.

“Gilmore Insurance Agency Inc. is the eleventh CAA member agency to achieve this distinction, demonstrating the commitment from our members to evolve with today’s changing marketplace through ongoing education,” said Tom McCorkle, CAA chairman and owner of McCorkle Commercial Insurance Agency, San Antonio.

CAA member agencies named as “ACSR Honor Roll Agencies” include: First Southwest Insurance Agency, Abilene; Balcones-Southwest Inc., Austin; Ed Weeren Insurance Agency Inc., Austin; Whorton Insurance Services, Austin; J. S. Edwards & Sherlock Insurance Agency, Beaumont; Bigham-Kliewer-Chapman-Watts Insurance Agency, Killeen; Gilmore Insurance Agency Inc., Lubbock; Brownrigg Insurance Agency Inc., Marshall; Mims & Stephens Inc., Midland; Benchmark Insurance Group, San Marcos; Bosworth & Associates, Tyler.

“The educators at IIAT congratulate Gilmore Insurance Agency Inc. for achieving the highest level of participation reflecting their commitment to professional development on behalf of their customers, insurance companies and the independent agency system,” said Paul Z. Martin, Director of Education for Independent Insurance Agents of Texas.
