Houston-based Legal Access Plans LLC (Legal Access), a legal plan provider for the benefits industry, announced it has joined Consolidated Billing Company’s (CBC) network of “best-in-class” carriers for voluntary benefit plans.
CBC is a national third party administrator specializing in simple, One Source billing for multi-product and multi-carrier worksite voluntary benefits programs.
“At CBC, our goal is to offer brokers and their employer clients access to a choice of top quality carriers and their voluntary benefit products while removing the administrative headache of billing, reconciliation and remittance. Legal Access Plans is a great addition to our network because they offer a highly competitive legal plan benefit which includes an insured indemnity plan and the opportunity to access free and discounted legal services,” explained Craig Peterson, director of Sales and Marketing for CBC.
According to Robert Heston, president of Legal Access, the new partnership provides his firm with all the ease of administration that CBC’s One-Source billing solution is known for in the industry. “We also broaden our market place by working with brokers and employers who use and value CBC’s flexible, accurate and simple billing system,” he continued.
Legal Access Plans offers a variety of legal plans and financial services that include elder care, identity theft prevention, immigration, and financial planning and counseling to name a few. “We have found that by giving the employee a choice of the fully insured plan and an access program, we can achieve higher participation rates for the employer. Employees are very interested in knowing they can get legal counsel when they need it for a price they can afford,” said Heston.
CBC is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
