Independent wholesale insurance broker Heath Insurance Brokers of Texas LP announced that David Wetzel has joined its Houston office as an assistant vice president.
“David’s talents will bring added depth to the resources we offer to independent retail agents throughout the Southwest,” said Todd Teitell, president of the Texas operation. “All the agents we work with will benefit from the experience and knowledge David brings to our Houston office.”
Wetzel has nearly 30 years experience in providing innovative insurance solutions in the energy and maritime industries. He specializes in the global land and offshore exploration, production, contracting, and servicing sectors. Wetzel is active in the Texas Surplus Lines Association (TSLA) and is a past member of the TSLA’s Board of Directors.
“We are committed to expanding our operations in Houston,” Teitell said. “We recently relocated our office to give us the flexibility to maintain the growth momentum we have experienced in the last few years.”
