A New Orleans area insurance agent has been served with a civil fine notice and license suspension for allegedly filing a fraudulent stolen vehicle claim with his insurer, the Louisiana Department of Insurance reported.
Robert Sheard, 60, was served by Department of Insurance Fraud Section Investigators with a $1,000 civil fine notice and suspension of his license for six months, effective today. Sheard is alleged to have intentionally filed a fraudulent stolen vehicle claim with his vehicle’s insurer.
Department records show that Sheard held a Vehicle Physical Damage and Property license since August 1995 and a Casualty license since August 2005, until the current action.
