IIAH Young Agents Begins 2nd Annual Be An Angel Drive

November 24, 2010

The IIAH Young Agents of Houston kicked off their second Annual Be An Angel Drive with a silent auction that was held at the IIAH 2010-2011 Officer Installation Dinner in September. By the end of the night, the Young Agents’ silent auction had raised $3,820 for Be An Angel, and the effort was considered a success.

As an ongoing attempt to achieve the Young Agents’ mission of increasing charitable activities, the committee will also be volunteering for the Be An Angel’s Snow Day event held Dec. 17 at the T.H. Rogers Elementary School in Houston, Texas.

For 25 years, Be An Angel has improved the quality of life for children with multiple disabilities or profound deafness by providing wheelchairs, hearing aids and other adaptive equipment. The organization also offers select services to individuals and institutions that require a supplement to alternative means of funding.

The Young Agents will provide cookies and punch to the children of T.H. Rogers Elementary School during the Snow Day. They will also provide face painting to the children to brighten their day even more.

Through your support they can give children with multiple disabilities and profound deafness something to smile about this holiday season. The Young Agents of Houston are collecting new or old Christmas ornaments, artificial trees and charitable donations to help purchase the cookies and punch until Dec. 10, 2010.
