Combined Agents of America LLC (CAA), headquartered in Austin, Texas, reported 19.5 percent growth in written property/casualty premiums in the third quarter of 2011, compared with the same period in 2010.
CAA, whose 47 agency members are based in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas, said it experienced significant growth in business with one P/C insurer in particular: State Auto. Its written property/casualty premiums with insurance carrier State Auto grew by 94 percent in the third quarter compared to 2010 numbers.
“In only three years, CAA’s relationship with State Auto has yielded tremendous growth and a strong relationship,” said Roger Luttrell, secretary of CAA and president of Benton-Luttrell-Brown Company in Van Alstyne, Texas. In the announcement released by CAA, he praised State Auto Western Region President Gerald Ladner for assembling a “strong staff” that responds well to the needs of CAA members.
CAA said it added three new members in 2011: Elliott Insurance Group (EIG) in Louisburg, Kan.; HC&H Insurance Group LLC in Denton, Texas; and NTX Insurance Group Inc., a group of seven professional independent insurance agencies spread across North Texas.
