Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corp. announced it has made significant enhancements to increase efficiency of claims filing, adjuster deployment and claims processing, in advance of the 2013 hurricane season.
The company established a claims reporting telephone number that will become active 24/7 during a catastrophic event. All new catastrophe claims can be reported anytime by calling 1-877-815-5005. After reporting a claim, policyholders will immediately receive a text or email message that will confirm their claim number and adjuster contact information.
Louisiana Citizens also restructured its claims operation, by hiring additional internal claims adjusting staff and engaging Worley Catastrophe, one of the nation’s top catastrophe response firms with the ability to handle more than 50,000 claims. Worley is now providing Louisiana Citizens with program management and adjusting services for personal and commercial claims.
“During and after a catastrophe, Louisiana Citizens is committed to providing the most efficient service possible,” said Quin Netzel, Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Chief Claims Officer. “By streamlining the claims filing process and expanding our adjuster network capabilities, we will decrease the time required to close claims and better serve our policyholders during difficult times.”
Additionally, Louisiana Citizens significantly enhanced the integration between the company’s internal claims processing system and XactAnalysis, a claims reporting and analytical tool from Xactware. The company will have the ability to instantly view information about any file while tracking the work adjusters are doing in the field from within the core claims processing system. This gives Louisiana Citizens critical detail regarding the number of claims received, claim statuses and the financial impact of those claims on the company.
Through these three critical technical and operational enhancements, Louisiana Citizens will better serve its policyholders during times of catastrophe and more effectively manage the company’s financial resources.
