An organization dedicated to building storm shelters in Oklahoma schools is getting another donation.
Moore Supercuts will present a check to ShelterOklahomaSchools.org on Saturday to further the organization’s mission to equip all schools in the state with storm shelters. Several state legislators will be on hand.
Moore Supercuts has been accepting donations since May when a massive tornado struck the community, destroying two schools including one where seven third-graders died. The school was not equipped with a storm shelter.
Rep. Mark McBride of Moore says the top priority following the storm needs to be ensuring the safety and security of the community’s children while they are away at school.
In addition to the donation, Moore Supercuts will donate all of its shampoo sales on Saturday to the organization.
