The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety says there were half as many fatalities in December 2013 verse the same month the previous year.
There were 33 fatalities on Oklahoma roadways in December 2013 compared to 66 in December 2012.
The department says three pedestrians died in traffic-related crashes.
Sunday was the deadliest day during the month with eight deaths recorded on that day.
Two of the crashes involved alcohol.
Eight of the fatalities victims were under the age of 20.
Tulsa County led the state with the most fatalities at eight.
