Joe O’Connor has joined Texas-based Southwest Risk LP as senior vice president, broker and underwriter with a primary focus on developing new Marine & Energy products. He is based in Houston.
O’Connor has 23 years of global experience with both domestic entities and various Lloyd’s Syndicates as a delegated cover holder.
He has served in senior leadership capacities with large carriers and has successfully built two Marine & Energy start up underwriting operations. He is currently a member of the United States Maritime Law Association, Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute and the Houston Mariners Club.
Southwest Risk is a specialty lines insurance broker for high hazard business exposures.
