A federal jury in Houston has convicted three executives from a physical therapy chain for their roles in submitting about $9.6 million in false and fraudulent claims for healthcare services that weren’t provided to patients.
U.S. Attorney Kenneth Magidson in Houston says the officials with Team Work Ready were convicted on conspiracy, health care fraud, wire fraud and money laundering.
The Houston-based company has clinics in five states, including Texas and Louisiana.
Company officials convicted on Oct. 17 were: CEO Jeffrey Eugene Rose Sr.; chief financial officer Pamela Annette Rose; and vice president of operations Frankie Lee Sanders.
Sanders and Jeffrey Rose will remain in custody while Pamela Rose will remain free on bond.
Each faces up to 20 years in prison when sentenced in January.
