Claims adjusting and environmental risk management solutions provider, Global Risk Solutions Inc., has acquired specialist energy sector adjusting and consultancy firm R Winkler & Co., based in Sugar Land, Texas.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Led by founder Rodney Winkler, R Winkler & Co. specializes in energy loss adjusting and consulting services for insurance markets in oil and gas and energy sector. The firm has close links with the London market and its specialty underwriters and brokers.
The acquisition will enhance Miami-based GRS’ Complex Claims Solutions (CCS) operation which specializes in large and complex property claims, which often involve third-party losses.
The deal follows on from GRS’ acquisition of specialty complex loss adjuster William Kramer & Associates last year and comes two days after the group finalized the acquisition of Texas-based property/casualty claims and litigation management firm Tailored Adjustment Services Inc.
GRS’ Complex Claims Solutions operation is led by London-based Mike Reeves.
