I don’t see this so much as an attack on transgender people, but more of a protection of women’s rights. I am not sure why we need to change laws to give rights to a very small minority of people at the expense of the rights of 50% of our population.

Hey Sean Murphy, I’ve got news for you, the vast majority of people don’t see this as attacking transgender people. There has to be lines drawn somewhere. You can’t scream “follow the science” throughout COVID lockdowns and push gender biology is fluid and not based on the science. People claiming to be born in the wrong body used to be defined as a mental health issue, now they get celebrated, you can’t say anything opposed to it or your “transphobic” and a “bigot”.

Drug companies get paid to “transition” kids under 18 with hormone blockers but go buy that same kid a pack of cigarettes or beer and you’ll go to jail!

This is a topic where I part ways with my usually liberal points of view. Maybe because I grew up on a farm, where you had better understand the vital differences between male and female when it comes to bulls and cows, boars and sows, rooster and hens, and the pollination of seed crops, etc.

However, I note the irony of conservative politicians suddenly being very concerned about “women’s rights” just a year after the Supremes gave them what they wanted with the Dobs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision. Funny how that works.

This whole trans controversy is a pretty new entry into society. It became most known in the 50s when a young American sailor decided he was a woman and so he went to Denmark, I believe, and had operations that change his physical sex organs from male to female.
Since then this issue has blossemed into a movement that upsets most people and has people born of one sex to want to change to another. I guess that is their right but it is not their right to force organic males and females who don’t agree to let them infringe on their rights to privacy.
The most frequent issues arise when a person born as a male later, because of some psychological need, wants to be a girl and infringe on the space of biological girls…or vice versa, girls into boys.
The simiple solution is clear. I guess we now have FOUR sexes…Male, Female, erstats males and ersats females. It might cost a bit of money but perhaps we now have to accomodate these new creatures and hav male bathrooms, female bathrooms, and used-to-be female bathrooms and used-to-be male bathrooms and sports and such. I guess we now have four sexes. So be it. But let each of these entities have the same rights to privacy. The morality of it seems to have fallen into obsurity but while we thought segrigation ended with the civil rights movement there is a whole group of individuals who want return to that time so they can be what they want to be without being what nature created them to be.
Let them be what they want to be but don’t allow them to force me too accept them into both worlds. They have their own and I don’t condemn them for that. What I do reject is their wanted to play in both worlds at the cost of my rights to privacy. Just say’n. Thoughts?

None of this addresses the gay issue. I think that is settled. I have many friends who are gay and they are good people who do not try to impose their ways into mine. The morality of that issue is private and I do not judge them on that issue. Good people are good people and all of us have differing ways of life and belief. Scripture teaches us “Judge no and you shall not be judged.” That is up to God.
