An Oklahoma man faces felony charges for illegally growing marijuana, Attorney General Genter Drummond’s office announced.
Hui Tang, 51, of Kingfisher, was arrested in the wake of a May 29 raid by The Attorney General Office’s Organized Crime Task Force. Tang is charged with aggravated manufacturing of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana), trafficking of controlled dangerous substance, and unlawful proceeds derived from illegal drug activity.
Agents with the OCTF and the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office found two illegal marijuana grow operations housed in a cluster of buildings in the Kingfisher area, the attorney general office said. The search resulted in the confiscation of 342 pounds of untagged, usable marijuana and 2,405 untagged marijuana plants – all of which was destined for the black market, according to investigators.
“Our agents’ close partnerships with other federal, tribal, state and local law enforcement entities are making it loud and clear that drug traffickers and the like are not welcome in Oklahoma,” Drummond said.
