Copart Inc. announced the opening of a new auction facility, located in Ft. Pierce, Fla. With the addition of this 54-acre greenfield facility, Copart now has 100 locations in 40 states, with six locations in Florida.
“The new Ft. Pierce location is in the northern section of the city near the airport and Interstate 95,” said Willis J. Johnson, Copart’s CEO. “The new facility will allow us to better serve our suppliers in central eastern Florida. Previously this area was served by our West Palm Beach and Orlando facilities, which are over two hours away during commute hours.”
Since August 2002, Copart has added six locations including two MAG sites in West Mifflin, Pa. and Richmond, Va. and four Copart salvage sites in Reno, Nev.; Springfield, Mo.; Corpus Christi, Texas; and Ft. Pierce, Fla..
Copart, founded in 1982, provides vehicle suppliers, primarily insurance companies, with a full range of services to process and sell salvage vehicles through auctions, principally to licensed vehicle dismantlers, rebuilders, repair licensees and used vehicle dealers.
