Vanguard Fire & Casualty Promotes Coffin to VP, Sales & Marketing

Vanguard Fire & Casualty Company, of Winter Park, Fla., announced the promotion of Bill Coffin to the position of vice president of Sales & Marketing. In this role, he is responsible for managing the insurance company’s area sales representatives and overseeing the servicing of the independent insurance agency network.

In addition, he supervises the planning, budgeting and implementation of sales strategies for the Vanguard Sales Department.

Coffin has over 35 years of experience in sales, marketing and the insurance industry. He began his career with Vanguard in January of 2001 as a sales representative, servicing independent agents throughout the state. His responsibilities included consulting with agents to provide training on Vanguard’s underwriting policies and rules of practice.

Prior to joining Vanguard, Coffin served as a sales representative for The Hartford Insurance Company for 17 years. He also has experience working for Metropolitan P&C as well as Cotton States Insurance Company.

According to Billy Sanders, president of Vanguard, “The goals we have set forth for Vanguard this year will continue to require strong leadership from all departments. With Bill’s vast experience in the field and his established familiarity with Vanguard’s operations I can think of no one better to take on the leading sales and marketing position.”
