The Independent Insurance Agents of Kentucky Inc., is holding its 109th Annual Convention from June 23-24 at the Marriott Griffin Gate Resort in Lexington.
The two-day event combines insurance and business education, networking and leisure activities for attendees. It is expected to generate a significant number in attendance from independent agents throughout state. Also, more than 51 insurance companies and industry bodies are being represented at the convention.
A key feature of the convention will be an ethics seminar titled, Ethical Conduct And Behavior For Insurance Agents And Companies. This three-hour ethics seminar has been designed to provide an ethical overview of the industry and role of an agent, for both agency and company personnel. It is also hoped that this seminar will emphasize the importance of ethical conduct and behavior industry wide.
The convention also marks a change in leadership for the association, as IIAK President, Tommy Adams, of Charles M. Moore Insurance Agency in Bowling Green, will hand over the gavel to IIAK President Elect, James England of Acordia of Kentucky in Pikeville.
Key appearances for the convention include Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America president, Thomas Grau; Kentucky Office of Insurance executive director, Glenn Jennings; and Virtual University director Bill Wilson, Jr.
