The Independent Insurance Agents of Dade County have announced its 2005 Thanksgiving Food Drive, with a deadline of noon Nov. 21 for food to be dropped off at participating agents offices. More information about the annual food drive are available from the IIADC office, (305) 969-6935.
Items most needed for the drive include: beans, boxed foods, canned fruits, canned meats, canned soups, canned vegetables, cereals, pasta, peanut butter and rice. The association cautioned members to check the expiration dates before donating the food.
IIADC said that since it is close to the end of the hurricane season food supplies assembled for the season can now be donated to this worthy cause. IIADC will deliver the food to the Daily Bread Food Bank.
