The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation will conduct public hearings in Davie concerning rate filings by Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Company and Tower Hill Select Insurance Company. Liberty Mutual is proposing a statewide average of 24.9 percent. Tower Hill has requested a statewide average rate increase of 25.3 percent. The requested rates were not uniform and some areas are subject to higher and lower rate indications.
The Liberty Mutual hearings will be at the Signature Grand, 6900 State Road 84, Davie, on Mar. 21st at 12:00 p.m. and again at 6:00 p.m.
The Tower Hill hearings will be at the same location, Signature Grand, on Mar. 22nd at 12 a.m. and at 6 p.m.
Florida law requires the Office of Insurance Regulation to hold a public hearing for any rate filing in excess of 15 percent that is based in whole, or in part, on a computer model. Input from interested parties will be received at this public hearing. If you are unable to attend these hearings, please forward your comments to Kristopher Duer at kristopher.duer@fldfs.com.
