Harleysville Insurance recently further expanded its field sales and underwriting presence in the Southeast with the opening of a new office in Charlotte, N.C.
Clinton Bothwell, regional president for the Southeast operation said his organization’s flexibility allows it to more closely align sales and underwriting resources with agents in order to take full advantage of the potential for profitable growth in the Southeast.
Harleysville’s Southeast regional organization, headquartered in Atlanta, already serves the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee through existing local field offices in Atlanta; Greensboro, N.C.; and Nashville, Tenn.
In addition to Bothwell, the Southeast regional leadership team includes:
David V. McDonnell, resident vice president—Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee (based in Nashville, Tenn.); Robert R. Southard Jr., resident vice president—Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina (based in Atlanta, Ga.); Edmund Acquesta, regional vice president of commercial lines underwriting; and Jerry W. Williams, regional vice president of commercial lines business development.
