Montgomery Insurance, a member of Liberty Mutual Group appointed Christopher Piela, regional vice president, Atlanta Region.
Piela will be responsible for the growth of personal and commercial lines business and the management of agencies appointed with Montgomery Insurance throughout Georgia.
Prior to his appointment with Montgomery Insurance, Piela was manager, Field Operations Analysis, Liberty Mutual Agency Markets at the Boston corporate headquarters. In this role, he was responsible for the development of senior management teams, workforce planning, and local decision-making processes for the Liberty Mutual Agency Markets’ regional companies. Piela also previously served as chief financial officer, Specialty Risks, Liberty Mutual Commercial Markets, where he was responsible for Liberty Mutual’s Property, Surety, and Alternative Markets’ books of business.
