Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour appointed U.S. Army Gen. Leon Collins, a native of Booneville, Miss., to the Workers’ Compensation Commission for an unexpired term ending December 31, 2008.
“General Collins has an extensive background in management experience, including an impressive military resume that demonstrates his leadership abilities. His business qualifications along with his service in a variety of community organizations will help him in his work on this important Commission,” Barbour said.
