Mississippi officials arrested four more people in Hurricane Katrina fraud cases.
Auditor Stacey Pickering says James Hodge of Wiggins, 45, of Mississippi, is facing a felony charge of home repair fraud. Pickering says Hodge received $10,000 for work he never finished in Bay St. Louis.
Also, 47-year-old Peter Howard and 52-year-old Robert Smith are charged with felony false pretense. Both are from Mobile, Ala., and they operated as Pelican Bay Homes. Pickering says they took $140,000 for a modular home in Pascagoula, Mississippi, but never built it.
Attorney General Jim Hood says 32-year-old Kevin Darrell Riggs of Virginia Beach, Virginia, was arrested June 9 in Harrison County, Mississippi. He faces a felony home repair charge because a Woolmarket homeowner claims to have paid for cabinets that weren’t delivered.
