An Orlando jury sided with Walt Disney Co. in a lawsuit brought by a man who claimed negligence when he suffered a stroke weeks after riding the “Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.”
Philadelphia resident Marvin Cohen claimed a sudden drop tore an artery leading to his brain during a 1998 visit.
The verdict marked a rare instance in which a ride safety lawsuit against the theme park giant actually went to a jury. Most are settled or dismissed before trial.
Jurors deliberated three hours before determining the ride wasn’t dangerous and Disney bore no negligence.
An attorney for Cohen said the now-80-year-old man may appeal.
