Assurant Solutions Taps Marcotte as International Operations Head

Assurant Solutions has named Shawn Marcotte to serve as chief operating officer and vice president of its International Operations.

Marcotte will be based at the company’s Atlanta, Georgia corporate office and report to Mike Anderson, president of Assurant Solutions International. Marcotte will be responsible for the company’s information technology initiatives in 13 countries.

Marcotte most recently served as Latin America operations director at Brightstar Corp., a provider of products for mobile device manufacturers, wireless operators and retailers.

Assurant Solutions provides specialty insurance products and risk management services throughout North America, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe and Asia. The company is part of the Fortune 500 company, Assurant, which has approximately $27 billion is asset and $8 billion in annual revenue.
