Small businesses and private nonprofit organizations in two counties in West Virginia can apply for federal disaster loans for economic injury resulting from drought.
The U.S. Small Business Administration’s economic injury disaster loans are available in Pendleton and Pocahontas for entities that sustained financial losses as a result of drought from June 1, 2014, through Oct. 31, 2014.
Small agricultural cooperatives and small aquaculture businesses also can apply for the low-interest loans.
The deadline to apply is Oct. 13.
