A child has been hospitalized after falling from the balcony of a third-floor hotel room not far from Walt Disney World.
Orange County Sheriff’s officials say family members had left the 9-year-old boy alone in the room at Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa on Thursday while they packed their belongings. A relative returned to the room and heard the boy scream. When she looked outside, officials said she saw him lying on the ground.
The unidentified boy was rushed to a children’s hospital. The Orlando Sentinel reports he is expected to survive.
