Attorney Marc Dunbar has been appointed to the Citizens Property Insurance Corporation Board of Governors by Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis, who announced the appointment April 2.
A resident of Tallahassee, Dunbar has nearly 20 years of experience working with Florida businesses and consumers. He recently served on the Northwest Florida Water Management District, appointed by Governor Rick Scott, from 2015 to 2018.

Dunbar has experience litigating complex legal and constitutional matters and has spent time in both the public and private sectors. He is currently a partner at national law firm Jones Walker LLP. He also serves as an adjunct professor for the Florida State University College of Law.
According to Patronis, Dunbar’s experience in both the private and public sectors will help keep Citizens accountable and transparent.
“Marc adds incredible value to the board and I know he will be a champion for Florida’s insurance consumers,” Patronis said.
“My priority is to make decisions that best serve the policyholders and the taxpayers of our state. Consumers must be at the forefront of our decision-making process,” Dunbar said.
Dunbar succeeds Don Glisson and his term begins immediately, expiring on July 31, 2019.
