Clegg Insurance Group and Advanced Insurance Brokerage (AIB), both in the Tampa, Fla., area – signed off on a new deal last month that will merge the companies’ property and casualty coverage portfolios.
Together, the two companies will offer new and existing customers a wider range of product offerings, greater efficiency and improved customer service, according to a statement from the company.
Additionally, as part of the merger, AIB will retain its original team of insurance professionals and its Anna Maria Island location.
Since 2010, AIB has provided coverage options, including auto, home, health, life, and commercial through a network of insurance carriers.
In 2013, Clegg Insurance acquired Florida Insurance Partners in Safety Harbor, and in 2014 Clegg Insurance acquired Hopf & Hopf, a Tampa-based insurance firm.
According to Ryan Clegg, president and CEO, Clegg Insurance Group, the two agencies combined can leverage carrier relationships and offer a wider product offering to all customers.
Clegg founded his company in 2010 and now employs 10 people in the Tampa Bay area while continuing to look for further opportunities to expand. Clegg Insurance Group is a full service independent insurance agency serving the entire state of Florida with a specialization in property and casualty insurance.
