Dovetail Insurance, an insurtech company serving independent agents providing small commercial insurance, has appointed Michael Ferber as chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Dovetail is a member of Victor, the global managing general underwriter.
Ferber is an industry veteran with experience in commercial insurance platform development and digital modernization from his previous role as chief information officer at ICAT, a specialized digital-based underwriter of U.S. catastrophe insurance, and also a Victor company.

He succeeds Gregory Martin, who will retire from the firm at the end of May.
Prior to ICAT, Ferber worked at Lehman Brothers as senior vice president for Change Management, and at GMAC, leading operations and technology within its mortgage banking division.
Christopher Schaper, CEO of Victor Insurance Holdings, said he was grateful to Martin for his “extensive contributions to the firm and wish[es] him the very best in his retirement.”
