Charlotte-based Amwins Program Underwriters announced that Mary Wisely has joined the company as managing director over a new crane and rigging contractors program. The program is backed by a non-admitted carrier, rated “A” by A.M. Best, the company said in a news release.
Amwins Program Underwriters is a managing general agency, specializing in niche property and casualty markets, affinity and program management. It is part of Amwins, which calls itself one of the largest independent wholesale distributors of specialty insurance products.
APU’s crane and rigging contractors program is available in all 50 states and offers commercial general liability. Some agents and brokers also will have access to business auto, inland marine and workers’ compensation products, the company said.
Wisely was previously president of Pioneer Programs’ specialty contractors division.
