Acrisure, a fintech company and insurance broker, has acquired the managing general agency and third-party administrator operations of Florida-based SUNZ Insurance, a workers’ compensation specialist, the company announced.
The operations acquired in the transaction include Next Level Administrators, a third-party administrator; Watchpoint, a special investigation unit; Ascential Care partners, nurse case management and utilization review; Avalon, claims subrogation; and Accelevant Premium Audit, according to a news release.
The move will expand Acrisure’s ability to underwrite and distribute related risk premium through its global network of partners. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Acrisure said it expects to make related acquisitions in the near future.
Acrisure said it specializes in intelligence-driven financial services, providing insurance, asset management, real estate services, and cyber services. The company has grown revenue from $38 million to more than $3 billion in just over eight years. SUNZ is headquartered in Bradenton, Florida.
