
Insurance Office of America has hired Kevin Kerton to its property and casualty division in Bonita Springs, Florida. As a commercial lines risk advisor, Kerton will focus primarily on construction and manufacturing.
Kerton has more than 20 years of industry experience, having started his career as an outside claims adjuster for One Beacon Insurance Co., where he investigated general liability losses in the construction industry. He later became a commercial lines agent for Chittenden Insurance Group in Boston, specializing in construction accounts.
Kerton most recently worked in Fort Myers, Florida, as a middle market agent at McGriff Insurance for over 13 years.
IOA said it is the fourth-largest privately held insurance brokerage in the country. It was founded in 1988 and provides property-casualty, employee benefits and risk management solutions. It is headquartered in the Orlando area.
