Summit Consulting, a manager of five workers’ compensation insurance companies in the Southeast, has named Robert Darin Grimm senior vice president of claims.

Grimm, who holds a doctorate from the University of South Florida’s college of business, joined Summit in 2003, the firm said in a news release. He has worked in sales and marketing and was most recently vice president of medical claims. He succeeds Bob O’Halloran, who retires May 5 after almost 25 years in the job.
Summit, based in Lakeland, Florida, said it manages two affiliates, Bridgefield Employers Insurance and Bridgefield Casualty Insurance, along with three non-affilates, and provides workers’ comp insurance to employers in 14 Southeastern states. Summit is part of the publicly traded Great American Insurance Group.
