Affinity Advisors, providers of a digital platform for securing specialty insurance, has named a former Aon and Marsh McLennan executive to be chief revenue officer.

Andrew Suesserman, who spent 12 years with Marsh and Aon, will move into his new role this month, Affinity said in a news release. He will oversee growth and client engagement, as well as new innovation at Affinity.
Affinity Advisors, headquarterd in Atlanta, has grown steadily since 2021. The firm said its platform helps brokers, managing general agencies, associations and professional employer organizations to quote faster. Alan Anderson is co-founder and CEO.
In North Carolina, state Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey named longtime department general counsel, John Hoomani, to be chief operating officer.

Hoomani, who has spent 20 years at the DOI, earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from North Carolina State University and his law degree from Campbell University. He has been DOI general counsel since 2017.
He succeeds Mark Tyler, who has been with the department since 2014.
