Starke Agency, an insurance brokerage in Montgomery, Alabama, has acquired University Insurance Agency in Auburn, one of the oldest brokers in the city.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Starke said in a news release that it further expands the agency’s presence in east Alabama, an expansion that began in October. Starke President Kyle Drumwright said University has more than 50 years of service in the Auburn-Opelika area.
Starke was founded in 1929. It offers business, home, life and auto insurance products.
