Trucking coverage specialist Canal Insurance, based in Greenville, South Carolina, has named Matthew Grimm chief underwriting officer, effective this week.
Grimm has more than 30 years of experience in the property-casualty insurance business, including leadership roles at Integrated Specialty Coverages, Greenwich Transportation Underwriters and Vanliner Insurance Co., Canal said in a news release.
He graduated from The Ohio State University and earned his law degree from Cleveland State University.
Canal Insurance has provided insurance coverage to commercial trucking and specialty transportation firms through agents for more than 85 years. Paul Brocklebank is chairman and CEO of Canal Financial Group.
