ABD Insurance and Financial Services, with headquarters in Redwood City, Calif., have formed a partnership with Sacramento-based BP Insurance, a company offering specialized employee benefits and insurance packages.
In addition to employee benefits programs, BP Insurance clients can now access ABD’s full line of commercial, property/casualty insurance, international benefit services and retirement services.
Originally founded in 1946 as the Mario L. Basso Company and following a number of mergers and acquisitions, the firm became Alburger Basso de Grosz in 1990, with the subsequent name change in 1998 to ABD Insurance and Financial Services.
Today, ABD is the largest independently owned insurance brokerage and employee benefit consulting organization in the western U.S. The company currently has more than 520 employees, 10 offices in California and nearly $90 million in annual revenues.
