Los Angeles-based Chartwell Independent Insurance Brokers LLC, a wholesale insurance broker specializing in high-risk, hard-to-place coverage, named William A. Hildebrand executive vice president and director of programs and proprietary products. His responsibilities will include fostering retail agency and market relationships to expand business opportunities, developing proprietary programs with insurance carrier partners, enhancing sales and marketing efforts, and continuing to develop Chartwell’s team.
Previously, Hildebrand served as senior vice president and regional manager for the Agency Specialty Product Network (ASPN), a subsidiary of Aon Corp., where he was responsible for generating business for specialty companies with more than 450 products, services and programs. Within his western territory, he served more than 3,500 independent agents and brokers. During his tenure at Aon, Hildebrand also worked for the subsidiaries, Albert G. Ruben and Scarborough & Co. Prior to Aon, he served at Pacific Life Insurance. He has 30 years of experience.
