Farmers Insurance Group of Cos. has appointed Senior Vice President Roy Smith to Senior Vice President Field Operations, Southwest Zone, effective immediately. The Southwest Zone includes the states of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Smith joined Farmers Insurance in July 1985 as a Personal Lines underwriter in the Mission, Kan. Regional Office. He moved to the Marketing department in 1986 as a Sales management trainee, and held additional positions, including Sales Administration manager, Life Sales representative, and division agency manager.
Smith has been as Vice President—State Operations since June 2006.
