Victoria H. Lovinggood, underwriting trainee at Zurich, has been named the 2008 – 2009 Region VIII Young Professional of the Year. Lovinggood is a member of the Insurance Women of San Gabriel Valley, a local affiliate of the National Association of Insurance Women, International (NAIW).
The Young Professional of the Year award recognizes excellence among those members under the age of 40 who have been employed in the insurance industry a minimum of 36 months, and a member of NAIW for 36 months. Among the criteria considered in conferring the award are the candidate’s participation in all levels of NAIW activities, involvement in insurance industry education programs, activities undertaken in the community and response to an essay question.
Region VIII of NAIW is made up of five states including Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah. Lovinggood was presented the award at the Region VIII Conference held in Santa Rosa, Calif., in March.
