At its April 6, 2011 meeting, the Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California’s Governing Committee directed the WCIRB to submit to the California Department of Insurance (CDI) an informational analysis of workers’ compensation insurer experience as of December. 31, 2010, in lieu of a pure premium rate filing.
Recently, the CDI indicated that the submission of the informational analysis may constitute a pure premium rate filing. Since the Governing Committee did not authorize a pure premium rate filing, WCIRB said the matter is being referred to the Governing Committee for reconsideration at a special meeting scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on May 19, 2011.
