PEMCO Insurance today announced it is offering home and automobile insurance coverage in Oregon.
The Northwest company said it initially will focus its marketing efforts on the greater Portland area, but other Oregon residents can receive home and auto insurance quotes and buy policies through a range of purchase channels.
“Expanding into the quad-county area of Portland has been a key element of our strategic growth plan, and we’re very pleased to announce the first of many policies sold to Oregon residents,” said PEMCO spokesman Jon Osterberg.
He said as a large locally based insurer in the Northwest, the comapny would like to expand its network of Portland-area agents to offer coverage and deliver outstanding customer service. Coverage for policies sold can take effect as early as July 1, 2011.
PEMCO Insurance, established in 1949, is a Seattle-based provider of auto, home, boat, life, and umbrella insurance to Northwest residents. PEMCO Insurance is sold by community agents throughout the region and through PEMCO offices.
