Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), the global specialty lines division of Liberty Mutual Group, has opened an excess and surplus (E&S) property operation in Los Angeles to better serve the West Coast wholesale broker community.
Chet Simmons, an insurance veteran with 35 years’ experience, has been named regional manager for LIU’s E&S Property West Coast operation. Working with Chet, wholesale brokers can give their clients access to LIU’s E&S property product, which provides all risk, named windstorm, difference in condition, flood and earthquake in catastrophe-exposed areas for mid- and large-sized property portfolio risks with capacity up to $25 million.
This new E&S Property operation builds upon LIU’s presence on the West Coast. Brokers can contact LIU’s underwriters in Los Angeles and San Francisco for primary and excess casualty, environmental, energy, management and professional liability, global crisis management, and construction risks.
