Seattle, Wash.-based Safeco Insurance announced new leaders for its National Advisory Council in 2012.
They are Shane Tatum, president, and Jeff Ogard, vice president.
Tatum, who has served on the agent council since 2004, is CEO of Integra Financial Group Ltd., which also has locations throughout Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. Ogard is vice president of personal lines at EHL Insurance in Poulsbo, Wash., an agency with locations in Poulsbo, Sequim and Port Angeles.
“Shane Tatum and Jeff Ogard will be strong voices for independent agents, and I look forward to their leadership on the council,” said Mike Hughes, president, Safeco Insurance.
The council is a collaborative, agent-driven forum that helps Safeco partner with agents to provide insurance products for customers. The national council includes the president and vice president from each of the company’s regional councils across the country. The officers of the national council are elected by its members.
In business since 1923, Safeco sells insurance to drivers and homeowners through a network of independent agents in eight regions throughout the United States.
Safeco is part of Liberty Mutual Agency Corp., a business unit of Liberty Mutual Insurance.
