A fire that killed two toddlers is the subject of a Umatilla County lawsuit that alleges negligence on the parts of the Seattle-based management company and the trailer park manager.
The suit names the toddlers’ parents as beneficiaries of their estates. The suit seeks $2.4 million.
The fire killed 16-month-old Olivia Wilson and 4-month-old Eva Wilson in February 2011.
A state fire marshal determined the fire was caused by combustibles too close to a space heater.
In the suit, the children’s parents claim the trailer park manager and ownership company failed to install working smoke alarms or provide heat, forcing the family to by space heaters and use a stove for heat.
The manager referred questions to the company, Atargatis Strategies Group, which did not return a call seeking comment.
