The board that oversees Arizona’s state university system is expressing concern about student safety in the wake of dangerous and criminal activities that include alcohol-related injuries, sexual assaults and at least one fatality.
According to The Arizona Republic, a letter sent by the Board of Regents to national headquarters of dozens of fraternities and sororities asks what they’re doing to prevent problems.
Alcohol-related incidents include several at Arizona State University, including one student’s death, another’s near-death from drinking and burns suffered by two young women when a bottle of alcohol was thrown into a bonfire.
